CREATIVE DESIGNER FOR MICHIGAN ADVERTISING AND MARKETING

OVERVIEW:

I am a creative designer for the Michigan Advertising and Marketing Club (MAM). Each semester in MAM, we are placed into cross-functional teams of engineers, business students, and designers. Each semester, we are paired with a company to improve their marketing strategies and materials. 

Two companies I have worked with are featured below: Iorio’s Gelato and M-SALT. 

PROJECT #1 - Iorio’s gelato

My second semester in MAM, I was paired with a team to work with a local Gelateria, Iorio's. The main reason Iorio's came to MAM was to receive help with physical marketing materials, including business cards to pass out during events and in store posters! These projects were very entertaining and playful for me; at the end of the semester, it was extremely rewarding to see my designs printed out and used by Iorio's!

PROJECT #2 - M-SALT

Below are the designs I created during my first semester with MAM. I was paired with "M Salt", a Michigan-based seasoning company. The company was struggling with connecting with their customers on social media, and so a large part of our semester was focused on boosting their social media presence. Additionally, I created web banners, a strategic one-pager, a post card, and a summary of our semester to present to the executive board.

OVERALL REFLECTION:

 MAM has been an extremely impactful experience as a designer. As a designer for MAM, I am using my skills and gaining real world experience in collaborating with others to improve the success of a business.
